Took up kite flying as a hobby c1986 instead of trying to continue painting
alongside full time work. Founding member of The Decorators.
"I was intrigued to know how a kite could be controlled by a single line. I found out the hard way and then started visiting kiting festivals in 1987."
Made some fighter kites and then graduated to Rokkaku kites and did graphic work for the team Rokkaku.
Met Jørgen Møller Hansen in 1989 in Berlin and he designed many sails for the team alongside his kite making practice.

In early 2019 started work on restoring and upgrading as well as replicating some of the kites that were made by Jørgen Møller Hansen between 1985 and 2012.
This has involved replacing degraded components, re-sewing elements, introducing new structural materials and sewing replacement sails.
In late 2019 arranged to collect kites by Peter Malinski from Hamburg and subsequently working on restoration of these alongside the continuing work on the kites by Jørgen.
